Full camping in Michigan is some of the best camping you’ll ever have. It’s perfect for those people who don’t care for crowds and would rather spend their time quietly with a few close friends. The temperatures are cooler, and who couldn’t love those changing colors that happen throughout the state.
RV years often enjoy exploring new places in the Fall, here in Michigan, and our member RV Parks and campgrounds are the perfect venue to do your exploring from. There are wineries to explore, farm markets, local craft breweries, and lots of shopping.
The weather is glorious and crisp. You get to snuggle back into hoodie sweatshirts and jeans as you enjoy your evening campfire. We often see more RVing couples during this time and less of families with children. The kids are in school and things have slowed down in the campgrounds.
Some campers like to follow the changing colors of the season. We call them Leaf Peepers and enjoy hearing about their travels. It’s possible to travel the whole state of Michigan, from top to bottom, and enjoy colors changing along the way. Fortunately, we have RV parks and campgrounds to accommodate these campers the whole stretch.
This year Michigan color season is projected to be a week ahead of schedule. Many of our member parks are in areas where you can take a fall color tour. Most say is a very rewarding experience. You can find out where and when the colors are peaking by visiting Weather.com.
We look forward to seeing you as you travel through Michigan this year and stay in our RV parks and campground along the way. It’s a wonderful time of year to get out and do some sight seeing. We’re sure you’ll agree. Be sure to take plenty of photos and share them with us on our Facebook page at MichCampgrounds on Facebook
